About this course
GWO Bolt Tightening module can be completed as a standalone course or an add on to GWO Basic Technical Training (BTT).
GWO Bolt Tightening is a new standard and offers more comprehensive training than the previous BTT Mechanical Module. It emphasises safety and quality through scenario-based exercises, requiring participants to plan, execute, document, and review various bolt-tightening tasks.

The GWO Bolt Tightening Course is designed for individuals aspiring to enter the onshore and offshore renewable energy sectors or for those who are already working in the industry.
What will I learn?

Learn how to safely use energy powered tools and accessories in the wind industry.

Prerequisites

A valid WINDA ID is required.

Safety footwear is required for all practical sessions.

A general standard of fitness is required.

Photographic ID Card, such as a drivers licence or passport.
What will I leave with?

Upon completion of the course, delegates will be awarded with GWO approved certification for Bolt Tightening.

Certification does not expire.
What to expect on the day

Registration and Welcome: The day typically begins with registration, where participants confirm their attendance and receive any necessary training materials or equipment.

Safety Briefing: A safety briefing is conducted to highlight the importance of adhering to safety protocols throughout the training session and in our centre.

Catering: Lunch will be provided to all delegates.
Important Information
Participants or individuals booking the course are responsible for ensuring that they meet all the necessary prerequisites and provide the required evidence, such as valid certificates for revalidation courses, on the first day of the course.
Failure to fulfill any of these prerequisites may lead to the participant being requested to leave the course. Please note that no refunds will be issued in such cases.
