1. Terms of Service

Coast Training Academy Ltd are registered in the United Kingdom under company number SC714276, registered office at Dundee Harbour Fishdock Road, Stannergate, Dundee, Scotland, DD1 3LZ. These terms of service (together with any documents referred to in them) tell you the terms on which you may make use of our training services, which are available on our website and our training facility at the Skills Academy, Michelin Scotland Innovation Parc, Baldovie Road, Dundee, DD4 8UZ.

By using the services, you confirm acceptance of these terms and conditions and that you agree to comply with them. Alternatively, if you do not agree to these terms & conditions, please do not use our services.

1. Responsibility

1.1 It is your responsibility to read these terms and conditions in full before using the services of Coast Training.

You are responsible for making all arrangements necessary for you to arrive on time and ensuring you have in your possession all requested of you within your joining instructions. Failure to not arrive on time, or not have all your requirements, may result in you not being able to attend the course and incurring charges.

1.2 Payment and Use of Services

1.2.1 All direct bookings (non-business) and payments must be verified by payment made using a debit or credit card at the time of booking. Only once the payment is successfully made will your booking be confirmed, and your confirmation sent to you.

Payment forms accepted: Visa Debit / Visa Credit / Mastercard / BACS Transfer

1.2.2 Corporate Bookings and Payments can be arranged by contacting info@coast-training.com

Non-payment of invoices can result in Coast Training holding course certificates until payment is received.

2. Cancellations

2.1.1 Customer cancellation/reschedule requests MUST be received in writing.

2.1.2 Cancellation of the course within 14 working days of the course(s) starting, customers are liable for 50% of the course costs.

2.1.3 Cancellation of the course within 7 working days of the course(s) starting, customers are liable for 100% of the course costs.

2.1.4 Customers failing to attend on the day, fail to attend their training in full, or arrive later than 15 mins after course start, will be charged 100% of the course costs.

2.2 Coast Training Cancellations

Coast Training reserves the right to cancel or change a training course at any time. In the unlikely event that this becomes necessary, Coast Training will always aim to inform you at the earliest opportunity. In such an event you will have the choice of;

  • Accepting the change
  • Credit towards an alternative course date
  • Cancelling your booking and receiving a refund in full

Coast Training will not be liable for any direct or indirect consequential or special damages that may be incurred due to a cancellation of a training course, including but not limited to, cancellation penalties for transportation or accommodation. The compensation shall be the refund of any pre-paid course fees only.

3. Liability

3.1 Coast Training will not be liable, if they are prevented or delayed in performing any of their obligations to you, if this is due to any cause beyond our reasonable control including (and without limitation)

  • An act of God, explosion, flood, fire, or accident
  • War or civil disturbance
  • Strike, industrial action, or stoppages of work
  • Any form of Government intervention
  • A third-party act or omission
  • Failure by you to give us your correct details, or notify us of any change in your details or circumstances

Coast Training will not be held liable for damages of any kind resulting from errors or omissions in the training materials, nor shall Coast Training be liable for any damages resulting from the use of the training materials, or other given third-party materials or third-party information taken at any Coast Training training course.

Coast Training will not be responsible for the non-arrival of registration information. For any customer not receiving the training course registration information by 48 hours prior to the start of your course, you should contact Coast Training on 01382 797483 and/or info@coast-training.com.

Age Restrictions

3.2 All customers must be a minimum of 18 years old to participate in training.

4. Medical Requirements

4.1 You will also be required to disclose any pre-existing medical injuries/illnesses that may affect your ability to safely participate in the training, in full.

Due to the nature of the training and equipment legislative specifications, any customer weighing more than 120Kg (fully clothed) may be prohibited from participating in the practical elements of the course(s) and therefore not be able to complete the training. Coast Training reserves the right to weigh any customer, if deemed necessary, prior to authorising participation in any practical element of the training. Failure to notify Coast Training that you weigh more than 120Kg may result in you being removed from the course, with 100% course fees payable.

Coast Training reserves the right to exclude any customer on the grounds of weight / health / safety / fitness or poor attitude.

5. Behaviours

5.1 If your behaviour is unacceptable and causes; risk to health, offence, poor safety or damage to property, the trainer(s) or other customers your training will be terminated, and you will be asked to leave the premises. No refunds, in part or full, will be made under these circumstances and you may find yourself unable to use Coast training for future training.
