Once you successfully complete the course and the instructor confirms you are competent, we will sign off all the paperwork and update your WINDA ID with your course completion.

If you’re curious about what happens during a GWO training course, you’re in the right place! Here’s a step by step guide to help you prepare for your training at Coast Training.
All of our GWO training courses take place at our training centre, where you’ll experience a mix of theory and practical learning led by experienced instructors.
Each course varies in length, with some lasting a full day and others just a half-day. If your course is a full day session, lunch is provided, freshly made and ordered from a local café. For half day courses, we recommend grabbing a bite before or after your session.
Arrival and Refreshments
Your day begins in the break room, where you can help yourself to a tea or coffee while waiting for the session to start.
Meeting Your Instructor
Once the instructors are ready, they’ll collect the group and take you to the training area.
Registration & Lunch Orders
You’ll start by registering your details, and if lunch is included, you’ll choose your meal for the day.
Course Briefing & Safety Induction
The instructors will provide a quick overview of the course structure and go through the health and safety procedures of the centre.
Training Begins
Once the briefing is complete, it’s time to start your training! Expect a combination of classroom learning and practical exercises to prepare you for real world scenarios in the wind industry. Don’t worry you’ll usually get a few breaks in between training to!
